Public Design Unit: Parkdale Versions

Any local resident is a potential Hyperlocal Knowledge Expert and can help represent what Parkdale is really like or what it could or should be like. Workshops were held in the Parkdale neighbourhood and offered participants from the area a chance to learn new media tools and to create models of a possible future (or forgotten past) Parkdale using their own words and images. The Digital Mapping and 3D Modelling Workshops were held in July, August and September of 2011. Designs created in the workshops were then be displayed in the Public Design Unit's Video Projection Studio as part of the Leitmotif exhibition during the 2011 Nuit Blanche event on October 1st, 2011.
